Synfig is a free software, open source tool for producing feature-film quality animation with fewer people and resources. I have been wanting to learn how to do 2D animation, but I didn’t want to spend the money to buy the software. I definetly want to give this software a try.
Google Sketchup 7 is a free program(there is also a pro version available to buy) for making 3D models. It’s easy to make models of just about anything. You can also share your models and download models that other people are sharing.
